Here are the Reel Specs:
The Penn Slammer has been designed and engineered to handle the new era of super braided lines. Taking into account the forces and pressures the reels would experience in the field, Penn added many features unheard of in a spinning reel. With the goal of building the most durable spinning reel in mind and knowing all the requirements of durability and power expected from such a product, Penn engineers designed a frame from a special high-strength aluminum-alloy that would provide the housing for the powerful gearing system of the Penn Slammer. Realizing that anglers would be exerting greater and greater drag pressures due to the growing popularity of super-braids, it was decided that the main support shaft for the spool would need to be drastically oversized and triple supported throughout the frame so that alignment and balance would not be compromised under the most intense pressure. Capitalizing on their breakthrough in spinning reel drag design, Penn engineers took advantage of the large and under-utilized area beneath the spool, allowing an oversized drag washer to be utilized. This drag surface allowed for increased drag range, smoothness, and drastically increased fish-stopping power. Advanced computer modeling allowed further fine tuning and balancing, and has resulted in the most durable and long-lasting spinning reel on the market.
